My friends and i went to a place in Ashton called Portland Basin to do some exploring and to get some test shots for the new camera that my friend got for christmas which i might use for my final pictures on the magazine. My friend took some of these pictures to show me how to ue the camera and i took the rest both on the camera and on my phone in different places including: - Clayton Vale - Reddish Vale Country Park - Daisy Nook Country Park - Alton Towers Theme park - Portland Basin the pictures above are the ones that my friend Bradley took when showing me how to use the camera properly and how to get good angles. they may not be indie but they were still test shots forthe camera, a Nikon 3300D camera. Here are the pictures that i took both with Bradley's camera and my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.

I took these pictures with my phone to test the quality of my rear phone camera and to make sure that I could take different types of shots. I was actually shooting for a short film that I am currently making. I think that these went well and it means that i now have the flexibility of using either the Canon 1000D camera or my own phone. This widens for my horizons for what I can use to take my final pictures. I used a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to take these pictures. It has a 16MP rear camera which is remarkably good for a phone camera and it makes my pictures look really professional, videos too!
These test shots are not ideal for the final project as there are none of me or Tom looking straight at the camera and most of them are not mid- shots which is what is usually on a magazine's cover. I think that some of the images might be good for the contents page as they do have the independent feel to them as they're on brick walls and things like that. I also look quite awkward in some of the photos as O was with someone i didn't really know very well so i didn't really want to let go. Therefore those ones are not helpful to use. On most indie magazines, there are usually more people whereas i was alone. I think that it would add to the Indie theme if i were with at least two other people. The Locations of the pictures were very reminiscent of the indie genre as they were outside at places like the train station and in tunnels which to me reflects the independence of the indie genre. The equiptment i used to take these shots was a Canon 1000D camera and a tripod. I used the tripod to steady the camera whilst i took the shots and experimented with different shot angles.
