To do this, I got the picture on the right and opened it in Photoshop. I started by making an extra layer of the background and then using the spot healing brush tool to clear up her spots and freckles. next, I used the healing tool to get rid of the shine on her face and zoomed in to remove the flash from the eyes. I did this by selecting the brush tool, colouring it black and making the brush really small before painting in the pupil of her eye. next, I edited out the baby hairs that she had on her forehead and made another new layer. I applied a Gaussian blur to the picture and then used my brush to add the detail back in before making it a mask and moving the original image top the side and adding text. i am aware that it doesn't look very good but it is my first attempt and i'm sure i will get better at it along the way. Et Voila!

- Cover Analysis - InDesign Tutorial - Skin Airbrushing This project was to increase my knowledge on how to use In Design. I had to make the columns on an A3 page and then take the text from a web page then learn how to put it into the columns using the text tool. I learnt how to tilt the text, make it thicker, make it bigger, raise it and even change its colour. The next thing I did was find pictures relating to the text on the internet and place them in the spread before formatting the text around it so that the picture didn't cover the text. Finally, I opened photoshop and used the brush tool to create the dark background. I made it darker colours intentionally to show what the article was about (Heavy Metal being devil music) the red and black colours are associated with hell, the devil and danger as well as darkness so this is why I chose to use these colours.
Here it is: In this task, I had to analyse the front covers of two different genres of music magazines. I picked out all of the different things on the page and then I said why they were there an why they were styled in the way that they were. this meant that I developed my analysis skills and means that I understand how all of the different elements of a front page of a magazine come together to create a certain effect on the people looking at it and makes them want to buy the magazine whilst also showing the genre of music the magazine is about clearly. Here it is: This is the extention task from the first of my AS Media Photoshop lessons.
What I did. First of all, I opened Photoshop and made a brand new canvas. I then browsed the web for pictures of my favourite band, Muse and downloaded the ones I liked along with a logo. Next, I placed each of the pictures on top of one another and arranged them so that they looked good. I then finally added the logo on the top of all the layers in the middle, used the marquee tool to select the square that had pictures laying all over it and cropped to the selection. Et Voila! Here is the project: This is the first photoshop task in my AS Media class. Ihave used a different program called Paint.net before at home but have never really used photoshop before, this computer was also an Apple Mac instead of a PC so a bit of a learning curve there. However, I think that I got to grips with the changes rather quickly and did well with the Macs.
What I Did I first opened the PSD files of three pictures: a CD, a Horn and a Background of music notes. I had to remove the background from The CD using the quick selection tool and pressing backspace to remove it and then used the pointer to move the picture onto the background picture of music notes. Next, to remove the background from the horn, I used colour range by clicking on the layer I needed and clicking select then finding colour range in the drop down menu before eliminating the colour white (the colour of the background) and removing the fuzziness. This then meant that the whole of the white background was selected and I could press backspace without deleting the horn as well as the background. I then also moved that picture onto the music notes background. I then resized the images so that they would fit nicely onto the background and look okay. To do this, I selected the layer I wanted to resize and selected edit, then from the drop down menu I selected Free Transform which meant I could resize the layers freely. I did this until I was happy with the result and then added text of a font that fitted the theme of the album cover. Finally, I edited the texture of the CD and brought the music notes layer forward. After I had done this, I merged the layers down and saved it and I was finished. Here is the project: |
